For those of you that are located in the SF Bay Area, the Field Sports park is in South San Jose. It's a long standing facility, and over the years the machines currently installed have just tuckered out.

I've heard from the staff that new machines are going to be installed in July. I believe they are going to be LaPorte. Looking forward to seeing how the new machines add some consistency to the presentations.

As a long time member of the Blue Monday Skeet league, I'm looking forward to seeing scores climb as the targets get better. When the new traps are in, I'll follow up this post.

Hope to see more folks down there.

Congrats! Let us know what they are and how they perform when you get a chance to shoot them!

IMO, shooting registered targets at the club is like eating a "registered cheeseburger". It's the same cheeseburger, but you pay more for it and everyone knows you ate it...

What brand are the old, tuckered out machines? How long did it take for them to get worn out?

I'll peek on Monday to see the brand. I believe they're ancient Winchesters.

Hopefully they can refurb them and then use them to create a for fun 5 stand.

As far as age? When I started shooting there over a decade (maybe ~15 years) ago people were already complaining they were old.
