No. I buy it as I need it.
-Off topic.
If everyone keeps their cool and doesn't panic buy supplies...then we'll all be okay. When you have people who buy any and everything they come across, that's when the community suffers as a whole. Drives prices up, and supplies become more and more difficult to replace.

I have always kept a minimum of two years worth of ammo and loading supplies. Based on my reduced shooting during the last 8 months, I think I now have closer to 3 years worth. At my age and with my underlying medical conditions, I may never have to buy ammo again.

I should have more than enough even if I shoot at pre 2020 levels. In 2020 I would say my consumption rate was 50% of normal. I hope 2021 is better but have a feeling there will still be lingering issues
Local Walmart has target ammunition back on the shelf and I will probably buy some factory stuff to set aside for a large event in case I am able to travel somewhere like M&M.

im at that point in life where all my life planning and frugal living paid off. I have so much, I need to sell it before it rots.

Drives prices up, and supplies become more and more difficult to replace. While I admire your faith in the “just in time” logistics theory I am afraid you are going to be in trouble finding ammo. I read today where one of the parent companies that owns a few ammo brands is a full year back ordered with a value of 1 billion dollars! Think about that- a full year’s production behind, with no real way to increase production appreciably. (They are a GO CO operator where military needs trump commercial production wants.) It is not just hoarders and profiteers. 5 plus million new gun owners, fear of pandemic driven shortages, election leaning towards gun control candidate, and civil unrest combined with pandemic reduced production have created a situation we all feared. My guess= 2 years before you walk into Bass Pro and buy 1000 small pistol primers and then they will be 50.00 dollars too.

I was digging through my old shotgun shells for a friend that couldn’t find any pheasant loads locally and started doing the math on what year they were bought. I have some 3” 20 gauge federals that were bought 35+ years ago. I’ve got some Sears 12 gauge target loads. Have no idea how old they are. If I start running low in target loads I’ll finally use this stuff up.

I have enough, but I will buy some more if there's a chance.

I have been reloading for over 40 years. I have enough stockpiled in the barn to last two lifetimes. Plenty of primers and powder on hand. Trouble is our club has cut way back due to Corona and I am not shooting anywhere near as much as I wished.

The only thing I am low on is Unique. Last time we had an order at the club I skipped it thinking I had more in that 8lb jug than I really did. Other than that I should be good for a couple years.

I have enough hulls and wads. I have 10 lbs of assorted powders which should get me through 2021. Primers are the problem.I don't think 2500 will get me through the year.

Was driving to my hunting camp last week, which takes me within 20 minutes of CAC Associates. I called to see if they had any of the stuff I needed, and they did not. So I didn't bother to stop. Apparently they are out of just about everything!

Primers may be an issue. I'm down to, around, 12,000 shotshell primers. I try to buy primers when my inventory gets down to 10,000. Winchester 209s are getting very scarce. Most folks, around here, are buying shot made in South America. The skeet shooters are buying #8s and #8-1/2, as the #9 shot is very small, more like 9-1/2 to 10.
I do have 20+ bags of shot, although I have to admit, I am shooting a lot more .410s, just to save on shot.
BTW: I have 1 bag of Lawrence #9 hard shot, with the price still on the bag. $7.95. I was keeping it just for kicks and giggles. I may have to use it, before this thing is over.

kyskeet wrote: Beats me, my cheapest bag is $13.25 Yep. You must have been around a while. IIRC: When I started reloading for shotgun, Winchester 472AA powder was, around, $23.00 for 8 lbs. Primers, Rem or Win, were $55.00 for 5000. I have not bought any primers in, over, a year. The last time I got primers, Win 209s were $120.00. I do have 5000 Remington 209s. I thought about hedge funding those things. BTW: I picked up 2 bags of South American #8 shot last week. $41.00 per bag. I don't know if that was a wise decision or not.

Thanks to a couple of tips I got from SGW posters primers are not a problem for me. However I am low on shot and there is none available locally.

I started ordering mine from Brownell's. $45 a bag for Eagle and $6 for shipping 2 bags. I'm pretty sure my female mail carrier hates me even though I fixed a flat tire on her USPS mini van the other day.
