I just heard the Triple J shoot, this coming weekend, at headquarters is full! I guess there is a pent up demand to get back out on the skeet field. I hope to see you there.

Looking forward to it. The dilemma that I'm facing is that I will only be in San Antonio for 3 days. That's not a lot of time to get to Aldo's, Rudy's, In n Out, and also shoot 500 targets. Probably should get some tamales too. I am confident that I will find a way. Hoping to see everyone there!

Best regards,
Jason

Leaving Tuesday for the two day drive down, first meal is always Rudy's. Closely followed by El chaparral, then salt grass for prime rib. O! And I'll shoot also

That’s great, Al. I’ll see you there.

I’m assuming the limitation on it being full was probably the number of available referees?

I'll be there Wednesday afternoon/evening. I'll be camped in slot #44 in the RV park.

Please - Rudy's? Salt Grass? San Antonio is not a food mecca, but I think you can find better than this!

Try La Fonda on Main for outstanding Mexican food. It's close to downtown SA, so more suitable for dinner than lunch. Also, Laguna Madre on Westover Hills Blvd - not far from the facility - has surprisingly good food - gumbo, fried shrimp, etc. This place is not fancy, but a great option for lunch.

I won't be in San Antonio for the "Blaser" this year, but good shooting to those who will attend.

Try Delia's Tamales on 1604 and Hausman which is above Bandera Rd and 1604 which is not that far from the NSC

And by the way I'll be photographing the Triple J for the Clay Target Nation magazine on Sunday. So, if you see me say hi or "cheese."

"sold out" or "full" is a relative term. Only a fraction of the fields were used; on vendors row fields 4-8 were used and on the middle row 12-21. I could be off by 1 or 2. I know 21 was last field used in middle row.

On Saturday there was a small trap shoot on last couple fields (9-10) on vendors row and on Sunday there was a sporting clay shoot using 3 of the sporting courses so the facility was busy. The NSC had just received a small (for them) shipment of ammo so ammo building actually looked like it had product, yea!!

Other than the horrendous winds on Friday through Sunday morning it was a very good shoot.

Yes, we shot on fields 6 and 9 on Saturday, and the trap shoot was on 11 and 12 (old numbers).

While we were shooting on 9, a guy kept walking out to the trap house on 11 to fill it, etc. One time while one of our shooters was ready to shoot low 8.

Bad head work on NSC to have them shooting trap down there.

I enjoyed the shoot, and hope to attend again next year.

Results are posted on NSSA website now. Of course, they were available near real-time all weekend on iShoots.org.
