I am trying to figure out what I can fit in my schedule to shoot this year. I want to shoot super sporting. The time listed to shoot is Wed-Sat European rotation. I will be going by myself this year.. so how will I get a time to shoot? Will I have to find someone to shoot with on my own?

One more question. What exactly is the Masters cup?

Euro rotation usually means the course is open and you can go shoot it anytime you want. Also NOT generally squadded, so you'll want to try to connect with some other shooters starting to shoot it the same time you are. It can be difficult to coordinate, but usually not too difficult at a larger shoot and is a good way to meet new people. OTOH, since it's a larger shoot, it likely will have trappers and worst case you can shoot it by yourself if needed for your time available.

Masters Cup is the name they gave their prelim. Usually a good idea to shoot them since it gives you an idea of the kind of targets you will see on the mains ;)

FWIW: I am planning on being at that shoot, and also signed up for the Super and the generic 12ga events. I was planning on shooting them during my down time, which is currently Thursday and Friday afternoon, and pick up another shooter or two for a squad. You are welcome to connect with me and squad if that works for you.

I appreciate the offer. I may take you up on that when the time gets closer.

No. Super Sporting is European rotation. They will have trappers at the NE Regional. If you want to shoot with yourself, you can do it. If you want to shoot 3 stands, go to your next event, and come back to shoot 5 more stands, you can do it.

Most times, if you show up at a european event alone, other people that are waiting will ask if you want to join them. If not, ask if you can join them. Best way to meet some great people in this sport.

Master's Cup is one of the prelims. Usually a tad tougher than the main event, IMHO. The last few years it has been over a 13 or 14 station course which means some 8 bird stations. Got to really be on your game to break 8.

Everybody is correct . Its a great shoot . Lots of good shooters and the course is challenging . Only thing is I won't be shooting bit working everyday .
And I do watching as much as I do shooting . Best seat in the house to watch some of the great shooter this sport has to offer .

A tangential question:

To participate in the World English, a shooter must be a member of his home country’s sanctioning body, e.g., CPSA, NSCA, etc. Does the same rule apply for Regionals, or must an international shooter join NSCA to participate?

I often shoot the side events with European rotation solo. Go out any time it fits your schedule. It helps to follow another shooter or squad to see more show birds as they shoot which in Supersporting helps. Later in week would likely have more shooters on the course. I don't usually ask for more than 1 set of showbirds once I'm in the cage.
PS having a golfcart helps if you see a solo shooter walking they are often glad to join you. Place is pretty spread out but there is a shuttle cart if you need a ride.
