With the advent of the rechargeables I'd go that way. They also double as a power bank for other rechargeable stuff we all have. Considering the price of a pair of them, you're money way ahead of disposables too.

Versatility rather than waste.

Chemical doesn't have to be a one use only. Drop them in a ziplock bag when your done for the day. I've used them again weeks later.

chemical hand warmer packs......one and done, they work great, and they are stupid cheap. I really like the full length foot ones as well that stick on to your stocks, they work great as well.
