should have broken up into two squads of 4. I generally shoot with 6 or 7 guys, we break into two squads.

My personal pet peeve is the guy that gets to the five stand gets his name on the list as a single then 5 of his buddy's just show up, the best part is when you ask if he's a single and they go "yeah no I'm full".

Oh those pesky rules again. Just follow the rules and deal with it. If you can't follow the rules stay home or shoot charity shoots.

a. European Rotation—Individual competitors or groups
of two (2) through six (6) competitors will proceed to the
various stations at random. Groups may shoot in any order of rotation selected by the shooters and may change
the rotation from field to field. In European Rotation, a
shoot start and shoot end time will be established. It will
be the responsibility of each shooter to complete the entire event between these times.

So if the need to finish early, arrive early or shoot in a smaller squad. It isn't a track meet nor is it a crawl.

Probably more like 98% of us. And totally fine with me. If it’s not enjoyable to any of us we better find something else to do.

You won't win prize/purse money at SYO Fun Shoots. Prizes aren't usually offered and playing the options is a joke. Now if you go to a big shoot and spend some money they pay very deep in each class and concurrent if you can compete.

Again, you are incorrect and speaking from ZERO knowledge; every club I go to that has squad-scored NSCA shoots offers cash prizes

I see I should have included the longer, more informative version of the answer. Let me try again ...

Question:

What is the LOP for a Remington 1100 20 gauge from the 1970s?

Long Answer:

SYO is the devil.

No it’s not.

Yes it is.

No it’s not.

Yes it is.

No it’s not.

Yes it is.

No it’s not.

Yes it is.

Yes it is.

SYO is the devil.

Anybody listening to me?

I had a good shooting buddy and we drove together to a shoot in East Texas. After-ward on the way home , he made a comment that he was going to concentrate on shooting for $$$. He wanted to make shooting "pay for itself."

We were both in C class at the time.

Ironically , I won C class that day and got a check for $30 , which didn't cover the gas to and fro.

Better be shooting for fun. There NEVER was an $$$ in shooting.

Ditto. As Sera points out, not much, but the checker champion doesn’t know wth he’s talking about. Again.

Playing options at SYO is a sucker bet. Shoot at a bigger squadded/trapper shoot that pays 3 deep in class and 1st concurrent and you can get entry money and then some back. But then again you need to be competitive and not cheap. And if you can't compete you have Lewis Class Option. In our state shoot this year if you finished 3rd in class you got your entry fee back in the main. And then some.

So your state shoot is your test bed? Put it to bed.....you’re a broken record playing a bad song. Checkers......that’s the game for you

You must be one of the non competitive ones. Stick to your SYO Fun Shoots. It's good expensive practice.

SYO is too much work for a fun afternoon....for me.

I do recall watching some Trap squads where some of the squad had exceptionally fine eyesight.....probably from carrots.

First year life member scooter. I was shooting sporting before the NSCA was formed. Anytime you want to hire a trapper, and shoot for cash...... let me know.
