Post subject: | Gun slip to protect SC gun in gun rack / golf cart |
I just got a new SC gun and would like to keep it looking new as much is practicable. while I carry it to and from the range in a Negrini breakdown case, I have noticed a few SC shooters who keep their gun in a gun slip between stations and while in a gun rack. Seems like a good idea, any suggestions? |

x3. considerably nicer than others. But i do think you risk more damage with the in/out every station. |

Thank you, I have only seen a few cased guns and did wonder if it was a good idea. |

I have a whole bunch of Briley soft cases. They are well padded. I take a couple of extras to the club in case it starts raining , so on the trip home the gun will be in a dry case. I never take the breakdown cases. |

Wild Hare has nice ones that aren't expensive; I picked up two from EBAY for ~$25/ea |

These have a spring-closed opening with a flap over that; not as heavily quilted-lined as my Bob Allen soft case, but for a slip, very nice. |

Bob Allen and have a dry one as a backup. Way less rack rash. |

I think most any soft case would work. I use a fairly robust zippered case on the cart behind the seat and avoid the rack. I shoot mostly skeet, but for some reason every significant ding I have on any of my guns happened on a sporting clays course. |

If I'm walking I hold my gun and do not place it on the rack. |

I usually walk with my push cart, and sleeved on the cart is where I ‘park’ mine anymore. |
