Just my opinion, but I have been to a lot of world championships and the 2020 ranks right at the top. Everything, from the organization, the hospitality, the targets referees where outstanding. I hope they can do it again when it comes back to the US!

I have shot in 3 world fitasc events and this was by far the best one I have attended, the club was also the best one I have ever been to.
Thanks to everyone that helped to make this a lifetime event for me.
Any event PHF holds I will be going to again.

Anyone know how often it comes to the US? There are a lot of countries out there that shoot, so I'm thinking it could it a long time before its back in the states. Just some unfortunate luck that covid hit in the same year it was here.

Since 2010 it has come to the US 3 times, I believe. Northbrook, Caribou Gun Club, and Providence Hill Farm.

I watched some of Nik Berry's video of various events and it was interesting seeing so many targets thrown over the water. I haven't traveled to shoot far out of the Northeast areas but it is very rare to have presentations thrown over water at any of the places I have shot.

The grounds looked great and diverse and interesting and the targets in the videos seemed well thought out and lots of variety. Unfortunate that the pandemic prevented the majority of the international shooters from making it in. It would have been great to have such a well done World Championship contested by all the worlds best instead of America's best. And Anthony sure rocked it big time. The way he shot those 200 targets would have been hard for anyone to match.

It was a great event. Even with the 135-yard rabbit thrown on the other side of the lake.

With 6 squad member, 200 targets plus show birds we may have had only 5 no-birds. Everything went well. It was fun to shoot one of the pegs in front of the club house with an audience watching. Felt like a real sports event, kind of sort of.

That rabbit looked 135 yards but was probably 60 yards and I doubled my lead and I hit it on the doubles that was probably my highlight shot of the weekend, I also hit most all the long birds.
my problem was taking those easy ones for granted and missed those.

Joe,

Agree on all points you noted. Hope Providence Hill gets an Open or another Regional soon. Looking forward to go back. Very nice area and love the Southern Hospitality. Thanks for all you do for US FITASC shooters.

I agree the rabbit looked a million miles away but it was actually 49 yds. by range finder. :D
