And while nobody asked I think a competent fitter with a try gun will get you in the ball park which is good enough for a newish shooter who likely hasn’t grooved the perfect mount yet. But you only shoot the try gun maybe a few rounds at the pattern plate so you don’t get much trigger time so see if the fit really clicks on birds.
A competent stock fitter who makes a try stock can take your fit to the next level since they make a try stock they fine tune and that you take with you to shoot for an extended period before making the final nice stock.
That said with a cheap auto and the shims and a slip on recoil pad that you can add spacers under you can do lots of your own independent stock fitting to find out what works. Only thing not easy to change is pitch. But you can take off the factory pad and have some ability to change LOP with a slip on leather pad. Take spacer out of leather and you only add thickness of leather and then can adjust lop by adding/stacking rubber or wood shims inside.
