a fellow came by my club with a 71f. pretty gun. he did well with it and is considering selling it. anything I need to know about this model in general?

That gun cost more than a Perazzi when it was new. I beat a guy out of one in a pool game back in 1980. I wasn't into trap back then so I sold it for more money than I would have won if playing for cash.
Pretty, well made gun as you know....now ask yourself, if something breaks can you get parts for it ?

You are more connected with the sport than I, shoot the gun, if all is well, price is right, go for it. TBH I wish I hadn't sold the gun, 6 yrs down the road I got into trap and bought BT 99....would much rather had the franz, life's lesson I guess. Good luck
