Picked up a m3000 in max5 camo with a 26" barrel. Took it out today for the first time to shoot sporting clays. I hadn't had a chance to shoot any high brass through it, and had only given it a good cleaning to get rid of the packing grease. Was worried about it cycling the light target loads, but had zero failures. Shot 100 rounds through it today, with no hiccups at all. And managed to break more clays than the guys I was shooting with. That was pure luck, but the gun shoots well. Thinking I may get the recoil reducer, or a different recoil pad, as my shoulder is going to have a bruise. I do bruise easily though, didn't really think the recoil was all that bad until I was through 60 rounds or so. If I was just hunting with it, I'd never worry about it. Mostly will use it for 100 round sporting clay sessions.

Have another 100 rounds, mostly 8 shot, winchester AA 1142 fps target loads. Pretty light load, and haven't had any problems.

Put a Limbsaver pad on it and forget recoil. All my Stoeger Semis have Limbsavers and they recoil very little. Send Marcie at Limbsaver an email about which pad to use for the 3000. All mine are 2000s and use #10008.

You picked a winner. The M3000 is a great shotgun and great value for the money.

Recoil solved by shooting winchester AA shells that are only 1142 fps. Don't get sore after 100 rounds with these, and could easily shoot 200 or more during the day.
Still haven't had a single failure, even with the light loads. Probably put another 100-120 through the gun this weekend. Think I'm up to 400 now.

Is your M3000 still trouble free?

This is good news. I picked up an m3000 and haven’t shot it yet. Lots of good reviews and a few bad ones. Personally I think it’s beautiful with the cerekote and walnut

I have 2k rounds through my m3000 sport, runs like a champ. Best investment for it was the MOA adapter to use the Mossberg Magpul SGA stock.

Well I had a chance to put 400 rounds through it before the COVID-19 shutdown of all ranges. They were only Winchester target loads #8, 1 1/8oz, 2 3/4 dram light loads. Very happy to report it cycled flawlessly with no break in period of heavy loads.

It came with a black coating on all the interior parts. I even cleaned inside the magazine and the follower. I got mine on sale at Bass Pro Niagara on sale for 579 C. In MOSGB camo.
