Has anyone seen one of these. I would like the Max 5 model but it has a 28 Inch barrel. Looking for 26. Don't like bottomland camo. So I am looking at the upland special. Just wondering if they are as nice as the picture.

They used to make the model with APG camo in a 26" barrel, it's the gun I have. I had no idea they came out with that upland special, got me thinking about upgrading.
I've had mine for several years now and have put a lot of shells through it with zero malfunctions. The only problem I've had was that the cap came off the bottom of the pistol grip, which stoeger replaced for me for free. I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on the upland model.

Yes I have the upland special. It is a very nice looking shotgun. The wood grain on mine shows a very distinct pattern that looks great not AA or AAA grade of course. While hunting controlled pheasant and ducks this year others stated "that is a good looking gun" and is one of the reasons that I purchased it. The gloss finish looks good but I have a one inch scratch on it where the finish turned white probably from briars or climbing through honeysuckle. I also have 2 Knicks in the stock about 3/16" to a quarter where I dropped a shell on the stock leading me to believe that the wood itself is soft. No issues in the reliability department. Patterns well enough with steel shot and a flush mount Carlson modified choke can't comment on factory extended chokes it came with. over all very happy with it
