I have an albino squirrel in my freezer and need to have it mounted. Live in North West Tn.

Are they protected in TN? They are in IL. Some years ago folks in a southern IL town with a large colony of them would pick up road kills and have them mounted. Nobody thought anything of it, since they weren't actually killing them... Until somebody complained and DNR had to go around and confiscate them all because you cannot legally possess them - even a road kill.

This one is a roadkill. Not a mark on it that I could find. I now reside in Kenton ,Tn and our town has a LOT of these albino squirrels. No restrictions on having one that I am aware of. There is a $50 fine for running over one though.
