Enjoyed watching it, as I own 6 of them. I would like to see this thread as a stickie, so it's easy to find again. I am even more of a fan now. Great guns.

For some unknown reason, I am unable to make this topic a sticky item. That is not facilitated for me in any of the "I love My" forums.
You can bookmark this topic so you can find it in your own User Control Panel.

Thanks for trying. I chose the option to watch it on Youtube, then bookmarked it on my computer.

This may be a better option than I suggested because SGW may change the forum software and all the links may go away.

I was too hard-headed to give up. I moved the topic to a section where I could make it a sticky, did that, then moved it back here and it stayed sticky!

Hi Pauline,

You've engraved more than a few of them! Are you still doing the factory patterns?

Yes I am. I have a section in my book about SXs. Hopefully will be out in the next two months. The text is complete. Just finishing up picture layout.

I wonder where this film has been for 50 years and why it hasn’t surfaced until now. It may be the only copy extant. We are lucky to have it.

I would suspect that it was probably in the possession of a former Winchester salesman who may have passed away or decided to finally unload stuff. I have a large stack, about 20, Winchester promotional films but not this one. I have converted some to DVD. Alot of them are not that interesting, mostly hunting tips and that kind of thing but using Winchester firearms of course. The ones that are interesting are the ones such as the SX video which show manufacturing and other processes and views inside and outside the plant. There were a number of these films that the salesmen would take to show at gun clubs to promote the brand.

I believe I purchased the tape from Bob Baumgart. Long time ago. Believe it was converted from a film.
