Trying to buy a new pump or auto loader HD gun .
No tactical shotguns to be found anywhere.

Looking hard for 590 A1 or 930 ( Mossberg)

Lots of things are sold out or in short supply; try buying flour or yeast to make bread, or 9mm ammo, or any of a number of things panicking people are hoarding.

If you don’t have what you need/want now, it’s a tough time to be looking.

Instead of a hunting auto loader but it will work if needed .

What exactly makes a shotgun "tactical"?

In a pinch any common hunting shotgun with the plug removed will suffice. Your tactic should be to take cover and lie in wait for the bad guys. Short barrels and extended magazines are nice to have but in a real home invasion five rounds of buck shot should do the job. Barrel length is also not a major factor when you are setting an ambush.

When you play hide and seek with a shotgun the hider always wins.

I think a lot of guys are using the current situation as an excuse to buy a new toy.

I am no exception.

I bought a Glock 43X, but it had nothing to do with the current situation.

Take a look on gunbroker. It appears that the price of Mossberg 590s is just nucking futz! I would sooner spend a little more for a FN SLP, or less for a USED 870 Police or older Wingmaster and get another/other barrels.

Yep, here in Canada the govt is planning to take away all "military-style" semi's, so I sold my SKS and bought a Girsan 12g semi and a Hatsan Marine 14" pump ( to keep my 12g Fieldhunter company) ... take that Pony-boys ;-)

Give it 6 months to a year, there will be a glut of lightly used HD shotguns on the market.

Mossberg 500/590? Remington 870? My suggestion is to go really retro, namely Winchester Model 12 or 97 or Stevens 520/620. All bank vault built, with a useful advantage over the current crop:

Just a passing outside the box suggestion. 8)

If watermelons attack a HD shotgun would be fun. Butt for protecting my toilet paper I'll stick with a .357 sig that goes with me most everywhere.

Update from Canada - Still some left here, but going fast too. Our Turdo isn't quite as bad as Trump, but they're both a-h.

Just got the Hatsan MarineGuard 14" on Thurs {$460 CDN - tx-in, about $350 USD} , haven't had it out yet. Now a 3-pak of shotguns :D (The slings are from notebook paks  )

Girsan MC 312 semi ; Hatsan Optima {older Euro-version of Escort} w/ 7+1 tube ; Hatsan MG 8) Gonna look for a longer mag for this ??
