Does anyone have opinions on the Tachyon clays camera vs the Shotkam at a good bit more cost?

Guy that shot today had a Tachyon.

He said that a major difference is the T had to be stopped and started between shots. No issue if he was shooting alone, but if there were 5 guys in a line, he was wasting a lot of battery juice.

I read that the 1080 resolution on the Shotkam is way better. I have no personal knowledge of that, though.

tackdriver, let me suggest that you go to Youtube and look at the videos produced by Shotkam. In the video they say several things:
1. Shotkam has a built in telephoto lens.
2. Shotkam, when storing the video, stores it in slow motion.
3. When you set up the Shotkam you must tell it what kind of gun you have (O/U, semiauto). That is because once specified, the built in accelerometer starts recording when you close the action. Once closed, you have 20 seconds to shoot the bird.
4. You must "sight in" the Shotkam ie. ensure that the reticule is pointing to the same place that the shotgun is pointing.
To me, these are key features that separate the Shotkam from some other "cameras".

Our youth team uses the ShotKam, nothing but praise for it. We can view quickly on one of the phones in the field, then view it later on computer for frame by frame analysis.

Tachyon worked for awhile then quit for no apparent reason. We sent it back and they sent us a used replacement which only worked for a few months and it quit. We sent it back and they sent it back saying it was dead. $300 down the drain, they sell a cheap camera with a 1 year warranty and that is all it is worth. It did work pretty good but there is no support.
