I was wondering if anybody knew where to buy choke tubes for the now discontinued 48AL in 28 gauge or if there are other chokes that are compatible that I am unaware of.

Beretta MobilChokes or aftermarket chokes made to fit MobilChoke barrels.

Both my 48 AL shotguns were made after 2006 and use the MobilChoke-type tubes (as do all the post-1998 Franchis, according to what I've found searching the 'net). Earlier guns use the Franchoke tubes, which can be identified by V-threads that start about 1/8" from the top of the tube.

You can e-mail or call Franchi with your serial number to find out when your shotgun was made.
