What happens to the hulls left on the ground at the NSC? Are they trashed, resold, etc?

Probably trashed. A majority of what is thrown on the ground is unsaleable anyways.

Target loaders pick them up and place them in plastic barrels which at the end of the day are emptied into large polybags with lifting straps attached as if they were going to be recycled in some way.

In 12 ga, I actually saw a good bit of AA and STS, subgauge only trash on the ground.
