Can you define "souped up"?
Apologies to 870 fans but aren't "race ready" and "870" somewhat mutually exclusive terms?

Souped up usually means it has the competition sear spring, that's all from the factory.
No race ready and 870 are not mutually exclusive, except possibly to Beretta and Browning fanboys, but I do think race ready and trap are mighty strange bedfellows.

You might be right Virginian.....but , these 2 Timney triggers sure are nice and for a trap
or skeet shooter who wants a positive feel and let-off , big difference over factory settings !

I would consider trading one for a clean ribbed barrel .

I have absolutely no issue with Timney triggers. I used one for quite a while years ago shooting skeet and liked it a lot. But, when I got tired of swapping out the trigger for hunting my scores didn't show any difference. I guess I am just too unrefined enough to benefit.
