I have a Miroku made Charles Daly12 ga. O/U shotgun that needs a lower barrel hammer spring. It is the "V" type. I used to get my parts for B&C Gunsmithing in Lake Havasu city, AZ. The owner's name was Robert Storm. Both his business phone and house phone have been disconnected. Does anyone know what has happened to him or his business? Does anyone know where I can get parts for these guns, or who can make a "V" spring. JCN

Thanking everyone for their input. Citori parts will not interchange with Charles Daly. I am trying to find a gunsmith who can make a V spring.

Wisner's in Adna, Washington apparently no longer makes hammer springs for the Miroku/Daly O/U and Robert Storms is long gone. You might try Bob's Gun Parts in Royal, AR. FWIW, a forum member, rbertalotto, posted a photo of a coil spring conversion that he made on his Miroku/Daly last year. You may want to contact him. http://www.rvbprecision.comDF Montani Semper Liberi

Had conversion to coil springs performed 20+ yrs ago with Charles Daly 28 gauge. Gunsmith used corresponding Browning Citori parts and it has performed flawlessly since. Cost was well worth it.

This is the first I heard miroku could be converted to coil springs using Citori parts. The very last of the Charles Dalys had coil springs, so this would make sense, but I heard the citori has gone thru many changes since those days. Is your gunsmith still around?

FORGETABOUTIT!
I just went through this with my CD Mirouku, 1980s vintage. Broke a hammer spring. The only place I found to get one was in New Zealand....At over $100 plus crazy shipping cost.
I went on YouTube and watched videos....The Midway one was excellent...
Bought some flat spring stock from Brownells and their super secret formula quenching oil
The very first flat spring I ever made was a huge success. A few thousand rounds later and still working great.
But HOLY SH#$T......Getting the new one into the action was a real test! The gun is like a Japanese Puzzle. All the parts need to go in, in a prefect order or forget about it! Took me at least a dozen tries before I got it right.

Roy, The last hammer springs I bought from B&C Gunsmithing cost me $80/pair. I have rebuilt 3 of these guns. You are right, they only go back together in a certain order. I have the order written down if you ever need it again. I think I"ll try your solution. Thanks, John

This conversion was only for the lock lever. Not for the hammers. I'd be interested in the coil spring hammer conversion. Can someone send me info on this?
