"One box" = 1000 primers or 100 primers? You pretty much better order an 8 lb. jug of gunpowder to make it worth the haz-mat fee.

Thanks for the tip! Primers are 1000 round box. B.L.E. wrote: "One box" = 1000 primers or 100 primers? You pretty much better order an 8 lb. jug of gunpowder to make it worth the haz-mat fee. You are right. Hasmat fee is $19.95. Good thing I also needed some powder.

I ordered a box and added some powder and hulls . It did not feel good to pay that much but these are the times we live in. I also wanted some sub gauge shells but all they had was 2 boxes of 20ga #9 which is what I use for skeet. No 28ga and .410. The local Cabelas had no .410 of any brand. I bought 4 boxes of 28ga which left only 2 boxes for the next customer. Their powder shelve was completely empty. No primers of any sort. The powder shortage (10yrs ago ?) was not near as bad as it is now. Back then there was plenty of loaded ammo on the shelves and plenty of primers.
