ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY (ATI) makes the stock. Their junk , I don't know what Mossberg was thinking ? $$$.

I don't like the carbon fiber stock either. Looks cheap...

I do like the breaching gun with the stand off device. Note the 590 end cap and the night sight. I'm still undecided on the for-arm nylon hand strap.

on monday i'll be posting pics of my 870 with parts from the MCS (modular combat system) including a different style of stand-off device...

at least moss is taking a few chances with different styles of tactical style SG's and different options... good for them... altho i had an ATI stock and wasn't impressed... i agree

and i like the carbon fiber look...

carbon fiber, not just for race cars anymore

Put an ATI sidesaddle on the reciever and a surefire foregrip on that first one w/ a jumbo saftey and that's my shotgun! Granted I have a 20" bbl and tube and painted mine flat black and had the forearm and PG texturized, but pretty damn close.

I've had Zero problems from my ATI stuff.

Remington goes with Knoxx for their AR-stocks, and Mossberg goes with ATI. Too bad for Mossberg they picked the cheapo's.

so does two BK Whoppers, fries and a shake... my pants that is...

but i agree... put a Pachmeyer pistol grip on it, the type that imitates a handgun/revolver grip... and it would be even better...

mossy gets a +1 for trying...

What is with the the for-arm nylon hand strap? Why not go all teh way and give us a 3 point tactical strap?

it keeps your little hand from slipping off of the fore-end under recoil. Which often happens when using a pistol grip
