Don't you have anything better to do than bash Liberals? You know, like looking up why the only private residents that could fly on 9/11 had the last name of "Bin-Laden".

Quote from Dave in IRAQ regarding John Kerry:

Come on guys do we want this clown running our military ????????? Vote republican and insure we a strong Commander and chief !!! Give us what we need to win this war on terrorism. Just get out and vote !!!!!!!! Its one of the most important thing you can do as a American.
Its hard to belive I'm sitting here in a Internet tent in Iraq saying to get out and vote....But hey I'm a true blue republican so we need your support. And yes I'm one of the guys that are over here doing what we can to give these people a chance at a better life. Ok I'll get off my soap box now.

DUDE step out of the California sun. 8)

BTW it was Clinton that turned down Bin Ladens head on a platter! hmm how different the world would be now.

John"yep I am conservative"boy

There are those patriotic Americans who take a more or less LIBERAL view of the proper role of government in managing and controlling their daily lives and activities. Likewise, there are those patriotic Americans who take a more or less CONSERVATIVE view of the proper role of government in managing and controlling their daily lives and activities.
I can find room in our country for both, and this dialogue will never end. However, the number of extremist elements who have found a home and advocacy platform in the liberals' party political party is downright scary. The list seems to grow every day, including -
 The "environmentists" who would never produce another drop of oil, at least not in our backyard; never cut another tree for lumber; and stop emitting that awful "greenhouse gas" CO2, even though CO2 is the MOST desirable product of combustion that occurs equally no matter whether a chunk of wood is burned in a fireplace or rotting in the woods.
 Their cousins at ELF, PETA, Physicians for Responsible Medicine, and other misleading titles of groups with an agenda too insidious to talk about.
 The anti 2nd Amendment do-gooders who are ignorant of or choose to ignore the lessons of history.
 The baby killers. 'Nuff said.
 An activist judiciary who are trying to accomplish from the bench what they and their allies on the left know could not be accomplished by the will of the people.
 The ACLU and their efforts to seculariize not only government but everything that government touches, which is everything and everyone.
 And the list goes on.

Nice list Bengal, but you must have been in a hurry, you only scratched the surface.

LC you might want to change Unalienable to Inalienable. Words mean the same but the text you are quoting uses I.
I suppose Pidgeon that 9/11 restrictions of our inalienable rights by a REPUIBLICAN administration was a necessary "evil" in the moment. But someone did once say that those who would sacrifice liberty for the sake of security deserve neither (liberty nor security). Can't have it both ways depending on the situation because then principle really means nothing more than doing what is necessary as you define it in a given situation.

KT,

If you've ever read the Declaration, it says "unalienable" so LC is correct. Have you ever READ the Declaration or our Constitution?

You liberals have an unbelievable focus on spelling as an indication of intelligence. I guess the Founders were $h!theads because their spelling was off.

Mark

The original draft, which I have also read and was referencing, does have Inalienable. Later draft was changed to Un. However, the point of pidgeon and myself remains the same concerning the reaction and the infringement.

p.s. The original draft of Jefferson's is available online at the U of Va, if you are interested.

Being the good Dem that he is, I'd bet he probably just tore the tax check up in protest.

Being the good Democrat I am and disagreeing with Bush's tax cuts, I did try to get out of getting any of that money back. I talked with a tax preparer about it and they said that refusing to cash the check or attempting to return it could screw up the rest of my tax liability (a significant portion of our income is self-employment) when we paid our self-employment taxes. I did make an honest effort to get out of it but the headaches that it could generate with the IRS made it not worth the trouble.

That is the most irrational thing I have ever read.

How about giving the money to a worthy charity, or is the Federal government the best charity a good Democrat can think of?
