i have heard some stories of cheap wally word ammo is really second hand stuff
Are you one of those people who believes everything they hear?

Go ahead and pattern some ammo and find out. I did because I wondered what the difference was too. I patterned Walmart Winchester value packs, Rio target loads, Remington Gun Club, Winchester AA, & Remington STS. What I found was the Wally world value pack shells, Gun Club & Rio patterns all looked about the same, while the AA & STS were noticeably better. Both of the latter had more pellets & a higher density pattern.

IMO Walmart shells (100 packs) are abundant, reasonably priced, and you don't even have to buy a flat of them. Their hunting loads will be out soon and will be cheaper yet.
no i don't believe anything i hear, and actually i thought i read about that on remington's website if i recall, and it really doesn't matter in my situation cause i can not shoot those loads at my club due to the rules. otherwise i would be shooting a cheaper load.............. as far as practice goes....... i can guarantee you that i will hunt with the wally world ammo all day.............. just can't shoot skeet with it!!!
Son, we gotta find you a loader. Even shooting only 12 gauge, you can save a few bucks rolling your own....more if drop down from 1 1/8 oz loads. Bet we could find a 7/8 oz load that would cycle that slamamatic of yours. Besides saving a few bucks, it would give you something to do with your hands besides pickin' your nose and pinchin' the the ole lady!

for me, the best bang for the buck are the Remington sport load value packs that they sell at wal-mart. They're around $21 for 100 shells and they do reload pretty nice if you ever decide to do that.
I second that. At least once or twice a month I buy one of those Remington sport load 100 packs at wally for $20.97. that gives me about 200 new shells to add to my reloading bins to replace the ones that finally have to go in the trash can after their 4-8 reloads. I only use em in pumps as that's all I've got.

I have patterned ts28 Rios against most of the wally world shells and some others in 1 oz. They out performed with my a400 by about 15% in having less "flyers". They and little rhinos are a pretty close match though. The shot in the Rios and Rhinos are pretty hard keeping deformation of the shot to a minimun. I pay with shipping about 49.00 for a flat of TS28 Rios but have to buy 96 cases at a time. A few of my shooting buddys and I split up a pallet a couple time a year.

some of you guys crack me up! You're comparing this shell to that shell, patterning each of them, then comparing them again and again. I've been behind the trigger of a shotgun for over 40 years now and have never patterned a gun or did a 'Consumers Report' on shells. I shoot high 30's low 40's in sporting clays, average of 22 in skeet and shot a ton of perfect 25's in trap. I am not bragging, just showing you what you can accomplish with a little practice and experience, without all the choke changing, load ratings, etc.

Buy the cheapest loads out there, but more importantly, go out and shoot...

very easy to answer, Walmart 4 packs of either Remington, Winchester or Federal, 12 or 20 gauge. $21 bucks for 100 rounds. Beat that.
That's PLUS tax. I can get quality Kemen target loads for $22.00/100, tax included.........in a variety of loads

I sometimes buy the wally world federal packs but when i get the chance to be back home i stock up on federal 1oz Field and Game loads at rogers sporting goods since they're $48 a case and about a 30 minute drive. I actually bought 5 flats of federal gold medals last time i was there to get the rebate and they came out to $46 a flat.

Im in college too so I know how much it sucks to spend half of your paycheck on shells/shooting.

I also have a 100 pack of the remington sport loads that i havent tried yet, we'll see how these go.
