I've heard the name but never looked into them till today.Someone mentioned the Z-sport and I started looking around the net out of curiosity.

Dang, nice looking gun with several features that looked good. I shoot a Beretta and like the way it "feels" and handles for myself much more than the Browning O/U's. Do the Zoli's have some of the same genes or DNA :?: As the Beretta's since there're both Italian :)

So if anyone has any thought's or experiences with them and want's to share Thank's {hs#

I was lucky enough to be around one of my shooting buds recently that goes thru guns like a dose of salts thru a goose. He had a 20ga. Zoli "Z-Gun Sporting" that he was shooting for the first time. He said "You try it" and I smashed birds with it. I jokingly said "If you want to sell it call me". Three days later he did. It had four boxes of shells thru it and I traded a Benelli SS plus a little cash and she was mine! What a sweet gun and the action is still stiff after 1K thru it. I also got the rest of the flat of shells in the deal plus the original Zoli chokes along with 6 Comp-N-Chokes that he had ordered but had not used before he decided to get another gun. I look at it and go"DANG-How did I get so lucky"? This from a guy that is a huge Beretta O/U fan. Now on the prowl for a 12 ga. Z-Gun.

Jerry,

I shoot a Zoli 20/28 combo and love it! I would also shoot a 12 ga. Zoli for my primary gun, but have too much invested in my existing gun to switch right now.

I also have been to the Zoli factory in Italy twice. It is a 3-generation company that is not connected with Benelli or any other company that I know of (except that they sell barrels to some of the other high end manufactures).

Zoli is very focused on quality control and their guns show it. You can't go wrong with owning one!

I had one years ago and it turned out to be a piece of crap. It was a 20 gauge and had a really oddly shaped stock that never fit me well. After about 200 rounds the spring broke and I had a single shot in the middle of a grouse hunt. It was the worst gun experience I ever had. I got rid of it in a hurry.
I don't know what Zoli is doing now with their guns, but this was enough for me to put them way down my list of guns to look at.
cheers-Gofer

Gofer,
If you had a "ZOLI" years ago, it was most likely a CHEAP Zoli. There are two "ZOLI's" just like there are several "RIZZINIs". They are Antonio and Angelo ZOLIs. They are NOT the same.
The current guns are Antonio Zoli and they are a much higher grade of gun!

My shooting buddy uses a Zoli, and I have shot it. A VERY nice gun. Seem's just as well made as my DT-10. It is more like a Perazzi in terms of handling characteristics. I recommend it.

If you go to ZOLI.it sight it also states they attach their side and top ribs with high temperature and then BLUE the barrels. This means the ribs are most likely attached for life, unlike some of the "high priced spread."
I've been looking and thinking of changing guns, while a P-Gun has been top of the list, their track record of loose ribs on a few guns has me concerned. I plan to try a ZOLI also!!

The only down side to the Zoli Z sport is resale value. I have a 32" fixed choke Z sport I bought used for $3000 and it is one of the best made guns I've owned. That list includes almost every competition Beretta from the DT10 down. If you aren't worried about resale and like Italian style sporters, this gun is a great value.

The new Zoli Bilanx with its adjustable weight system really has my interest. If and when I can ever get a look at one I may just have to have one. I have a friend with a 20ga. P gun and find the Z&P guns to be much alike in feel.

After looking at P-Guns for a long time, I did buy a Zoli. For me, it feels very much like a P-Gun, even more than my 682 or DT10 did. Bore size is .733 in 12 ga. the same as my Optima bore Beretta. I've taken it apart and it is made very well!!

Talked to Larry Friedman this morn. about the Zoli Bilanx and he has several due in the next week or two. He will call when they are in and I will probably wind up with one. Leaning to 32" bbls-silver receiver-adj. comb. I need a new toy. Anyone want to buy a lightly used DT 10 L?

Looking forward to getting your impressions on it,and don't forget the pics

For my money, the Bilanx is an option that I will never appreciate. The older Zolis are very well balanced and don'dt need adjustments. But that's just me. It seems that the high rib and the balancing systems are the latest fads and most of the gun makers are adding them to their line in order to increase sales. Most don't do much to make you hit more targets. Just listen to Digweed when he says he can shoot any gun...off the shelf.

The advantage of most of these upgrades is that, once out, you can pick up some great deals on last year's model without the extra hardware to worry about.

After purchasing one from a friend and getting back into shooting a little after a long (12 yrs) vacation. I took the Z sport apart and looked it over. It appears to be a VERY well made gun.
I've shot and owned most everything out there that an average shooter can afford and the "Z" is right there. Very happy with mine.

I just saw a ad for Zoli new gun that has a add on rib comb and more adjustment that any one could use.
I would like to see it and shoot one my self. I have not heard and complaints about a Zoli. So far all good and thats good enough for me.

I have been looking at O/U's for sometime , trying to make up my on what i wanted well my mind was made up for me last night !! A guy at the club is thinking of selling his Z sport as he has a new Bilanx ordered and i took for a spin on the skeet range to say i was blown away would be an understatement !! It fit me and felt better in my hands than any other gun i have shot .... And to my surprise he told it had about 17,000 rounds thru it and it was still stiff when i opened it ... It also has great wood !! When his other gun comes in we are going to try and make a deal so i can be the new owner !!! :D

Shot a Zoli Cronos who was with a friend at the range the other day, it was a trap gun with a custom stock with a very pronounced pistol grip that did not fit me too well, still i managed to dust a few without too much effort, but i was very impressed with the way the gun looks and handles, blacking on the barrels is luxurious, and the wood is of very high grade, it looks like a Perazzi; it has the boss system locking lugs, but without the trapezoidal cutouts on the sides of the lump, handles and feels a little like a Perazzi, it was all shiny black with a cool bow and arrow Zoli logo on the belly of the action in gold, sadly it wasn't for sale ...
