Here's my latest theory.

The government picked up MAX100 since he's manufacturing gun parts. So that nobody would notice, they hacked his email and replaced him with the following script:
Code:
$wait_time = "two months";
$ship_time = "a week";

if ($email_body =~ m/would like to order/) {
	reply("Please go ahead and pay me.  The current wait time is $wait_time.");
} elsif ($email_body =~ m/status/) {
	reply("I am going to ship your extension in about $ship_time.");
}
This way, any emails that contain the phrase "would like to order" in the body will get an automatic reply "Please go ahead and pay me. The current wait time is two months."

Any emails with the word "status" in the body get a reply with "I am going to ship your extension in about a week."

What do you guys think? Come on, I had to throw this theory out there...this is the basement, right? :wink:

It so happened that I had a choat parkerized Mossberg 835 mag tube extension that I got for nearly free a while back. I cut it down on a lathe and made an cap that fit it out of 1" alum roundstock. Painted it with some left over Durabake I had laying around.
I'm thinking of cutting down a Choate extension for my 835. Would you give me some details on how you made the cap and attached it to the tube?

I was thinking of cutting out a steel disk and welding or brazing it over the end of the tube. Your way might be better and/or easier to do.

Once I have it cut down and capped I'll probably take it to a shop and have it blued to match the mag tube.

sounds reasonable to me.....as reasonable as the theory that MAX100 STOLE everyone's money with no intention of returning it or sending the item we paid for......

I ordered an extension for my 590A1 from Craig on May 1, 2010. On November 1, 2010 Craig sent me an e-mail stating that my extension would ship on Wednesday, November 3. It didn't. And after multiple e-mails to Craig politely asking "WTF?", I have heard nothing. Must be a longgggg walk to the post office or he was kidnapped by liberals. Any one know what's going on with him?

welcome to the club!!

{hs#

either one of the above theories fit or he's a thief......given his past poor performance record i tend to believe the later....

also.....his email account is still active evidently since a
undeliverable response never comes back......so i believe he or someone else is seeing them......otherwise his box would be full and we'd get a box full response....

for google: Max100, Craig Prince, Gun Connection

I received my Choate 590 extension today. I can confirm that with the original follower and new Choate spring, it fits 7 in the tube with 1/2" to spare (+2)

I was also able to mount a CDM MOD-C on the extension for my Surefire flashlight. It fit perfectly. Just to clarify, this is an 18.5" 590A1 (It's not supposed to fit)

Well, here is March 14th 2011, it's been one year now since I ordered my +2 mag extension from Craig Prince (MAX100.) NOTHING!!! He never came through, seems like he ripped off a lot of people, if you haven't heard, stay away from him! Looking at the Choate extension now, really like the set up above from user: dsimonl. Pics look really good!

Ditto.

On March 17 it will be one year since MAX100 processed my Gpal payment for my 590a1 extension. Like so many others here, I too have played the email hide & go seek game with him since June 2010... with the same results. Life is too busy for me to continue waiting on this guy to get his act together. I'm moving on to the Choate extension in a couple weeks.
Karma can be a *****. I wouldn't want to be him when it comes around to bite him in the butt... pissing off a lot of people with guns just doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

If his health is bad, I wish him a return to health. If he's had financial setbacks, then I wish recovery for him since I'm there myself and can understand. If he's been victimized by bad business decisions, then I hope he gets some business sense/skills for the future, for both his sake and his family's sake.

I consider the money lost as a $65 donation to the "MAX100 Relief Fund" and am done with this.

Best wishes to the rest of you guys still trying ti get some satisfaction. I hope it works out for you.

~ Sent from my DroidX. There are many like it but this one is mine. Without me my DroidX is useless. Without my DroidX, I am useless.

March 11th was my anniversary. Could I be the one who pushed Mr. Craig Prince to the Dark Side? The first to experience his betrayal of the Shotgun Brotherhood?

+1 to the Choate extension. Actually +2 if you use the OEM follower. I am very happy with mine.

I ordered an extension for my 590A1 from Craig (MAX100) on May 10 of 2010 after being quoted a lead time of 4 weeks.
Started requesting updates from Craig via e-mail in June of 2010. Response from Craig (automated?) each time: "Another two weeks."
In July 2010, his response was "The ship time is running about three months because of the large volume of orders I have received."
Requested my money back from GunPal in November of 2010.
Received a response from Craig that same day that my extension was shipping that week.
Guess what? Here it is June 4 of 2011: No response from GunPal, and no further communications from Craig.
And I still don't have my extension.

Our Mossberg 590/5500 +1 is selling well. Many thanks to all here who played a part in its construction. We wish to thanks each and every one of you for your support of our products.

Maybe I can talk the guys in to bluing some of these instead of parkerizing them. Anyone with a blued 590 interested???? LMK!!!
