I'm planing on buying my first shotgun. I would like to spend about $500-600 but I'm willing to go to $800 if that means getting a really good shotgun. I know I want a 12 gauge, and I would like to have the option to add a pistol grip stock latter on, if I don't like the traditional stock, as well as being able to swap out barrels. I plan on using this shotgun for Turkey and Waterfowl hunting. I've been looking online for info and it seems it always comes down to two shotguns. The Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500. My Brother owns a Mossberg 500, so I've already shot that a few times. And the only thing I didn't really like about it was the placement of the safety. I have no experience with the Remington 870. But I guy I work with recommend both the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500.
What do you guys recommend I buy? The Remington 870, the Mossberg 500 or something else?
