I have been making phone calls and sending emails for months to find parts for my H&R Excell 12 Gauge Auto 5. I have tracked down Sarsilmaz (the Turkish manufacturer) employees, every parts importer I can find, and obviously every parts aggregator on the web, and everyone has been absolutely un-knowledgeable and unhelpful. One of my least promising calls (I thought) was to Remington (who now owns H&R) last week. The parts rep actually knew what I was talking about and was sympathetic to my cause. He told me that Remington has been working on that import channel recently, and expect to have parts very soon. After making more service calls and emails regarding this info, I finally found that the "official" time frame for these parts to be sold is the third quarter of this year. I hope this helps some other owners out there. I guess i'll hold on to my gun for a few more months.

I have an Auto 5 that I recently bought and was having a problem with it patterning 6 inches low and 6 inches left. I contacted Remington and they told me to send the gun to them. I sent my gun to them and they sent it back with a "slug barrel" installed instead of the 28" barrel the gun came with??? I contacted them again and they said they would take a barrel off a new gun and send it to me. A week later I received a 28" barrel from a Gen 1 Auto 5 (made by Verona). The choke threads are completely different that the Remington thread chokes that came with the gun. I am now in the process of returning that barrel. Remington says they will send me the correct barrel after they order it??? I was hoping to use my gun for the opening of turkey season that opens in two weeks. I have a feeling that I am in for a long wait!!!I have a feeling that Remington bought out H&R and Marlin but have no parts for any of these guns. Bad business, Remington!!!

That's actually good news. I bought a used SX3 because of fears for the parts future, but my 10 year old keeps looking at the Excell and wants it when he's big enough. Now, if I could get a barrel in the 24" range that wasn't crazy money, I could get him into it a little quicker :)
