I had Briley do their thinwall choke tubes in my 20 ga BSS. The tubes are available for lead shot only or for steel shot. After some disappointment with other's choke installations, I use Briley exclusively now. Not as cheap as other's prices, but much cheaper than a ruined barrel. Caviat emptor.

I'm with you about the people at Briley. Ive had 4 shotguns thin tubed by them and couldn't be happier with the finished product. If you look its eazy to find people that will say how dangerous the thin walls are cus they roll up and block the barrels and rupture barrels. Ive ask those that have used them for many years and the only true story I came across of a failure was a tube that appeared to have the receiver end of the tube bent in and kinked in a way that it was still close enough to round that it was forced in the barrel but couldn't be screwed into seat where it needed to. Lacked bout a 3/16s of seating and even installed like that there was at least 10 rounds thru it before it curled up enough to block the tube what looked to be about 40 or 50% blocked. There was no failure of or damage to the barrel and with a new choke tube it ready to shoot. I was told the gun was dye checked fot damageand none was found. I had a model 11 20ga guy wanted to buy that had Briley thinwalls in it and was showing him the other chokes and tool and he aurged that i was confused that maybe i was thinking about a different gun and he had me kinda worried until I got the tool outta the truck and put a different choke in it. I had a a5 16 ga fitted with thinwalls and chose cyl, skeet, mod and full as my comes with it chokez and was tinkering with them and was going to leave a mod in the gun and was putting the spares in the storage case and one i was storing said mod on it? The mod was in the gun? Got it out and it was a mod? Musta got 2 mods. Layed them out to take a picture to send them and i had 1 cyl 1 Skt 1 mod 1 full? Well hell! I must have my head in my butt so I put a mod in the gun and looked at the other 3 chokez and i had a cyl a mod and a full and was positive a mod in the gun? I screwed around for a 1/2 hour trying to decide if I should wait till tomorrow and try it again or what the hell to do? Took a bit for me to wake up and then I found that I had 2 chokez labeled skeet on one side and mod on the other! I let Briley know and they wanted them back but I thought it was a novelty so I measured every thing then marked them with file marks and kept them. If you're shooting a mod and need a skeet all u gotta do is turn the one that's in it 180 and your done! That one had me beginning to question what my gray matters dependability!

The only expert you need to consult is Browning. Here is the information that I cut and pasted directly from the Browning North America site:

Can I shoot steel shot in my Browning shotgun?

READ THE ENTIRE ANSWER BELOW BEFORE USING STEEL SHOT IN ANY FIREARM

All current Browning shotguns with the Standard Invector, Invector-Plus and DS choke tube systems are fully steel shot compatible with current factory loads. However, there are limitations to the compatibility of many older Browning shotguns with conventionally choked barrels. In certain models, shooting steel shot may cause a slight "ring bulge" just inches behind the muzzle or irreversible damage or harm to the shooter depending on the firearm. Accordingly, our recommendations concerning the use of steel shot in Browning shotguns is as follows:

1. WILL ACCEPT ALL CURRENT FACTORY STEEL SHOT LOADS:

All Browning shotguns with the Standard Invector, Invector-Plus or DS choke tube systems, However, we do not recommend the use of Invector full or extra full chokes with steel shot. They pattern too tightly, and sometimes result in a "blown" pattern.

2. WILL ACCEPT ALL CURRENT FACTORY STEEL SHOT LOADS EXCEPT THOSE WITH T, F, BB AND BBB SIZE SHOT:

The B-2000 and B-80 shotguns with conventional chokes (Non-Invector)

3. DO NO USE ANY STEEL SHOT LOADS:

The Belgian-made A-5, Superposed, Leige, and other Belgian Over/Under models, Double Automatic, American-made A-5 and all other models not listed in category 1 or 2. Note: Belgian Auto-5 barrels are interchangeable with the new Invector barrels which are made in Japan. With this new Invector barrel installed on the Belgian-made Auto-5 receiver, steel shot loads can be used.

YEAR OF PRODUCTION: Nearly all Browning firearms manufactured after 1975 have two letters in the serial number. The two letters indicate the year of manufacture: M=0, Z=1, Y=2, X=3, W=4, V=5, T=6, R=7, P=8, N=9.

FUTURE: Obviously, we have no control over the ammunition companies and the loads they will produce in the future. So, if in doubt, please check with us or the ammunition company before using new loads in your shotgun.

is direct and clear.

It covers Double Autos, BSS models, etc., etc., etc.

2. WILL ACCEPT ALL CURRENT FACTORY STEEL SHOT LOADS EXCEPT THOSE WITH T, F, BB AND BBB SIZE SHOT:

The B-2000 and B-80 shotguns with conventional chokes (Non-Invector)
Even the solid-choked B-80s and B2000's are not approved for BB or BBB steel shot.
