Ohio Mike had mentioned to IthacaSKB fan that Jaquas Fine Guns in Findlay OH had a gun that he might have some interest in. While cruising their web site IthacaSKBfan noticed a pre war hand chased M37. Knowing that I have been passively looking for just such a gun, he passed the lead on to me. While I was hoping for a first year example with hand chasing, I think this example SN 3937 will do just fine. Considering the amount of extra work on 3937 they must of had quite a problem with it. For comparison I shot some pictures of it next to SN 3706. Note the differences of the stock shape in the pistol grip area, especially the top. Also 3706 does not have the choke stamped on the side of the barrel, just the #4 in the serial number area of the barrel.
