By "available now" you mean 5 months and still hasn't shown up.
I'm curious - what part of "According to Jesse (@ Retay USA) the shipment is in the warehouse as of this morning." that I posted on September 30, 2020 did you not understand?

I just did a search for "Retay 20 gage" on Gun Broker and got zero hits cause I was curious on price and models in stock now. I guess "available now" means something diffent than my English definition. Perhaps "available soon", but certainly not now. If I missed some for sale right now post up a link.

You can play the semantics game all day. Are they available in your local store or on line right this very minute? Short answer is no. Are they listed for sale by one or more distributors this very minute? The short answer is yes. Can you lay your hands on one today? Short answer - no. Can you have your local FFL dealer who is a customer of Sports South order one for you today? Short answer - yes. Which in my mind says they are available right now - IF you want to order it today and wait a week or so for it to arrive at your front door. So, call it whatever you want. They exist in the United States of America and are located at the Retay USA warehouse in Maryland. They are being inventoried and shipped to distributors. I say they are available today if you really want one. Mine will be on order sometime next week as soon as I can get my FFL guy to order one this coming week.

When one person says another person said something...that's hearsay. I prefer the "lay my hands on it" definition. I know RW hasn't laid his hands on it because his review will be posted up here faster than you can say he loves it. Or...it crushes clays all day (that are thrown from my feet straight away).

I tested a Masai Mara 20 gauge back in May. It was a 28 inch black synthetic, it was too heavy, and things (Covid-19) have slowed things down this year which should surprise no one. The final product has been in production for some time, there are several Retay user groups on Facebook, etc., where European shooters and hunters have been using their Retay Masai Mara 20 gauges for some time.

Built and sold as part of regular production is my version of available and they are now available in the U.S. as well.

Glad to see that your review is coming soon! Based on how impressed I am with my 12 gauge Masai Mara, I am confident that I will "need" a 20 to go with it.
We will find out. Dealers now have them, as to what dealers, interested parties (who don't have one on order) can contact Retay USA, or just wait for the usual gunbroker listings that will eventually appear.

The current 20 gauge Masai Mara is said to be in the 6 lb. 5 oz. area. My test gun has already been shipped: in Bedford Park, IL as of this morning. Illinois is very, very slow with the background checks, so I don't anticipate being able to start testing until next week sometime. That's cutting it a bot closer than I'd like for pheasant season, but it sounds like it will work out.

Illinois is so far behind AND a mess, it's a joke!

Before covid...I would order my gun (online), go to my FFL and fill out the background, watch tracking and go pick it up when it came in.

Now, I guess/am told that I can't do the paperwork unless they have the serial number...which most usually don't until it comes in. So I have to do paperwork when it comes in and then wait a minimum of 72hrs. I say minimum of 72hrs because last time I got one, it took 8 days for me to be cleared! My FFL says it's the luck of the draw. Some go through as they check right after filling out and just have to wait 72. I was a "LUCKY" one that didn't go through immediately so I got to wait 8 days for illinois.

My FFL says the average is 8-10 days if it doesn't go through right away. I'm guessing it's a lottery that they randomly don't let them go through and a person has to physically check it.

There is a huge gun buying frenzy nationwide. I suspect that state and federal agencies are overwhelmed with the required processes

The delays in Illinois have nothing to do with sales. Illinois now has its own mini-ATF. https://jg-tc.com/news/state-and-region ... f5918.html

NICS doesn't work in Illinois: the Illinois State Police approves every sale, regardless of NICS, and regardless of how long it takes for them to get to it.

How can you possibly have that in your possession? I mean, since so many here on SGW have doubted that they were 'available' and have defined 'available' as they saw fit. Surely someone here will examine your pic to determine if it is Photoshopped, or provided by Russian operatives determined to spread disinformation.
