With some money burning a hole in my pocket, I spent some time researching and shouldering various O/U in the 2-3k USD range. I was thinking I would end up with some form of new/used Browning or Beretta with outside possibility of a used Caesar Guerini if I saved/budgeted a bit more. However, I ended up buying a new Fabarm Elos N2 Sporting 12 gauge.

I spent time researching/reading advice on how to pick a new gun with most advice being to pick the gun that fits. It's hard to judge that when you don't know what you don't know but something about shouldering the N2 seemed to be speaking to me. I liked the palm swell and how it seemed to want to track into my cheek/shoulder on mount. Hard to explain, but I took a flier on it without reading up about the brand/model (until after I purchased!) Leap of faith so to speak.

I figured I'd give back to the community a bit and add some more feedback to what's currently out there in case others are researching in the future.

Some background:
Relatively new to sporting clays, with less than 10 rounds total. I've hunted wild quail once or twice a year the past few years with no practice and usually around a dozen shots taken (mostly misses.)

1st range report:
150 rounds total on Sporting Clays course (scored 100 targets with 50 additional shots practicing.)
Recorded 58/100 on the score sheet.

I didn't shoot it any better than either of my other guns. I do think it has less recoil, but I'm not overly recoil sensitive and I did not side by side it with anything else today. I have not done much volume shooting in the past and wanted a gun I felt I could grow with as I practice and learn. I didn't expect to magically shoot better but feel confident this will be a good gun to learn with.

So far, I like it. No buyers remorse in the honeymoon phase yet.

Total shot update: 467; recent adds recapped below.

200 last Sunday in a round of sporting clays with some practice before and after.

15 shots wild quail hunting this weekend, and 102 in round of sporting clays after we got our limit early. I didn't plan to use it hunting but I had it will me and we ride up high on a buggy following the dogs so brought it along and decided I could miss with this as well as anything else.

Awesome. Keep it going and keep us updated. How does the gun feel on the course? How is the adjustable pad been for you? Balance of the gun?
It feels good to me but I suspect any number of guns would. I do like like the balance and it feels lighter than it is to me. Mine is 32" barrels and weighs 7 lb 15 oz unloaded. I have moved the adjustable comb to the right just a touch but could probably do fine without it. I figure I can tweak down the road once I have more experience / appreciation for subtle changes.

I had mine since last march. I have shot several 25 straight on the skeet field with it. No issues at all.I am heading to Tucson for a "sporting clays vacation" and will shoot 100 -200 rounds each day.I probably have a thousand rounds through it by now.

Up date, I continue to shoot up to 200 rounds a day since first week in Feb. After several thousands of rounds since I got it a year ago there has been zero problems. I shoot mainly reloads. Lots of skeet rounds with 7/8 oz also.

Nice... I've only been out once in the past month!

150 shots added.
Total 617...

I am still putting hundreds of rounds through mine mainly on the skeet fields. I used it last month for a 50 straight for skeet. The gun fits me like a glove and recoil is nil. Not one problem so far.
The jury is still out as far as using it for trap. I put the 65/35 rib on the gun when shooting trap but have not seen any advantage in doing so, My trap scores are about the same using either rib.
