US Guv't allowed monster leases in the Gulf of Mexico this week.

Don't worry , be happy.

28 gauge FITASC is the pinnacle of all shooting sports. ...
I agree with this view
28 gauge ZZs are even higher..... ;)
Hell, even regular ZZs and box pigeons rate higher

I shot my my 28 gauge last weekend hunting quail in South Georgia. Probably all I will use it for. No sub gauge here in Florida unless you are shooting the big events.
Where were you shooting quail in S.GA?

Private land.. A close friend just signed a lease on 3000 acres of land just across the Georgia line north of Madison. Shot pen raised birds a few coveys of wild birds. It washed of a good time.
Awesome! I have plantations within 5-10 miles of my house; makes for a nice calming Sunday drive compared to central Florida; about half are private; the others open to the public.

The biggest complaint I hear at most clubs is finding help. Having enough experienced trappers to run all events over a 2 + days is a challenge. Then you throw fitasc and sub gauge fitasc in the mix and now you need a certified ref(s) so the events are run properly and the scores are accepted

Revival of an old post. As I predicted back on page one, it’s all but dead out here. We will have events at our state shoot, will be interesting to see participation numbers. The local monthly shoot that used to get 20 or 30 shooting subs now has 3 or 4. Sad. Hopefully it’s better elsewhere in the country.

Would love to see an all sub event at a major venue like M&M or Hopkins. I've been getting beat up pretty bad on main events this past year and may shift focus a bit to the sub gauge stuff first for 2024. Particularly for the tougher events. Absolutely will take sub gauge FITASC over any other events when signing up.

The biggest problem in sub gauge is when they do have events 90% if the time they overlap 12 gauge super sporting on the same course. That’s ridiculous. You can’t have sub gauge targets and shoot 12 gauge SS and make it work. And before someone says “ We are all shooting at the same targets “ it’s not about that. Lots of people, and myself, enjoy shooting sub gauge but really are interested in a master or AA class putting up a 23 and winning HOA in 410
