I'm considering buying a new Z gun, but have not had the opportunity to actually shoot any of the different models. I'm considering a flat rib and mid rib gun. I'm looking for others who have been in my situation, to direct me to the best dealers. I'm looking for a location that would allow me to demo several different guns and also allow me to get a custom stock made to my measurements. I know Coles in Florida will make a custom stock but I'm not sure they have demo guns. Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Give ZoliUSA a call and see If they have a deal where they can ship a gun/s to your local FFL for a test drive. I know that K gun and Robert Paxton have a program like that.

Coles has a Sarasota location at a sporting clays venue, when I have wanted to try different guns I call the Naples store, set up a day to shoot and they make sure the guns are available at Sarasota. I believe Wooley in St. Augustine has a similar arrangement but as always call ahead and tell them what you want to do.

Carlson's in WI travels to some shoots with demo guns. Zoli and others. A call could get details on where he will be this season. 608 343 0713. I caught up to him at the WI state shoot last year and tried a flat rib Z sport. Bought a Caesar afterwards but a 20ga Z found it's way into my safe since :)

I’m the opposite. Have a few mid rib guns but I only shoot a flat rib Z sport now. I like the more upright head position but would always seem to be bead checking “aiming” a bit to much. Flat rib just keeps me pointing more natural. But you should definitely try all of the guns you can before choosing.

As other's have mentioned, see if there is a local dealer who will let you demo a gun or see if Zoli will send a demo gun to your FFL. I ended up traveling to the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas to try both a standard rib and mid-rib Zoil out. Ended up going with the Mid-Rib and really really enjoy the gun!

All of my guns are flat ribs, but I hear alot of happy shooters using the mid rib. That's why I'm looking for recommendations for dealers. Living in Virginia makes it difficult and I know I will have to travel some, which is ok. I'm waiting on a response from Jason at Zoli, hopefully he will get back in touch soon. Thanks for your replies.

NC Regional isn't far from Carlson's this year. I assume he'll be there and will have stuff for you to demo. If not, you're more than welcome to shoot mine and I'll be there, likely with a mid-rib Z-sport to sell (Keeping my mid rib Evo)

NC Regional is near Carlsons...uh, Carlson's is in Wisconsin...not exactly nearby to NC. Maybe you are referring to another regional? ND maybe?
