Well, my Huskers blew another 4th quarter lead, losing to the Minnesota Gophers in the closing minutes, fumbling the ball away. Last year they changed coaches, same results, 4th quarter lead dissolves away, 0-1.

Go BIG 10 …….? 18

GO BLUE !

Things are really changing and I think 10 years from now you will not recognize college football.

I think conferences will gradually become a thing of the past.

You mean my Gophers made a thrilling comeback to beat Nebraska!!! :)

My son is a freshman at U of MN and that was the first college football game he's been to.

They lost it at the end of the first half by passing up three and instead going for it on fourth & goal from the 6 yard line with no time outs and eight seconds on the clock. Otherwise the would have been running out the clock for a win on their last possession. Why do coaches get stupid as soon as they arrive at Nebraska?

Because they are trying to be Bob Devaney, or Tom Osborne.

You might be onto something there. Going for it on fourth from the one was the right call, especially with Sims, but after they were backed up five, he should have took the points. They were only down three at the time, and their defense was playing pretty well. I'm begining to think Pelini put a curse on the program on his way out the door.

Coincidentally, just saw this:

ACC will stretch from sea to shining sea

New coach, lots of adjusting to do. Mistakes made but did anyone expect a different outcome? Nebraska didn’t get beat by 2 or 3 TDs, and most years you get some patsy games to warm up in before conference play. Hell, when Nebraska was in the Big 8/12 all but a couple games were against patsies. It’s a different world in college football than 20 years ago. That’s for everyone, not just Nebr.
They’ll get better.

Ugh, that's a gut-puncher of a game for sure. Watching your team blow a 4th quarter lead is one of those things that just leaves you staring at the screen in disbelief. I've been there, man. I was poking around the NCAAF consensus picks and noticed that a lot of folks actually had high hopes for the Huskers. Sometimes the stats and general sentiment don't align with what unfolds on the field, as we painfully witnessed. It's frustrating to see history repeat itself, especially when coaching changes were supposed to be the panacea. But you know, that's the unpredictable beauty and agony of college football. Every game is a new set of variables, and you never really know which version of your team will show up.

My Hawkeyes did the same thing. Nearly beat Wisconsin, then handed the W to a 3-3 Minnesota...🙄 Ridiculous. I'm ready for Ferentz to retire.

I was happy to see Scott Frost gone for the huskers though. He was terrible. Didn't like him when he played either. He was no Tommie Frazier. Liked Crouch better too.

Hawk fan here too. I don’t expect to win every game but I expect an offense that doesn’t fall flat, game after game after game. If Brian were to get fired, Kirk would likely retire, which might be OK. The Big10 West is weak and unfortunately we can’t even dominate that division.
