Thanks Randy. You have been very helpfull. I just sent off an e mail to Heidi and am waiting for her reply.
Kruchten. Now that Randy showed how to check it, You won't have to try and remove that nut at the end of the magazine tube like I tried to do before I new better.

Yeah, I gathered that.
(I have a terrible memory and just can't remember noticing that particular part, even though we otherwise dissembled and cleaned the gun. it's been a while though.)

And as I mentioned, I'm not sure that I ever tried to fill the magazine to check for its' total capacity.
Most likely the limiter was factory- installed but just had a snug fit and didn't slide out on its' own upon removal of the barrel/forend so I never noticed its' presence, or perhaps, like you, we never received one in the first place.

I'm gonna call my son this evening and have him confirm it one way or the other.
I suspect that he will find it properly installed and limiting the magazine tube capacity to the proper count of two rounds.

Nice update, Randy!

Is your right shoulder up to a slug-shooting video session through it sometime?
I'll send you a new Weaver rail to keep, and a Leupold scope with the correct rings already on it to borrow for a couple weeks if you do.

Maybe the Customer Service lady Heidi can convince Impala to subsidize a case of slugs?...

Not at all! 😕

Off-topic, but it is now 350 Legend time.

That Savage looks like a nice short/medium-range big game hunting rig overall; compact and handy.
The 350 Legend is primarily a short-range / low recoil deer cartridge, appealing due to its low-cost per shot and low recoil compared to 12 and 20 gauge slugs. East of the Mississippi it is legal along with other "approved straight wall" cartridges for white-tail: belatedly, here in Illinois this year as well.

@RandyWakeman, what is your opinion of the overall look, feel, and build quality (fit/finish) of the Impala Plus Emerald model with Walnut Stock and 28" barrel vs. the Elite series?

Are the receiver and barrel of the Emerald series Cerakote finished? Does the Emerald Green color look hokey?

Yeah, I think that somebody in Istanbul Silah's Marketing Dept. got confused at some point along the way when they decided how to name the various versions.
Personally I think that green color is kinda cool if a bit unusual. But without being completely whacked, like some of the other color schemes they offer...

Is it the receiver that's Cerakoted in some form or intensity of green? What about the barrel? The green color isn't evident within the Elite model photos as seen on the Bud's Gunshop website.

Pages 18-19 (per the numbers at the top right corners of each page, or p.23 per the curser/ page counter.)

I believe that both receiver and barrel are coated with some form of green ceramic coating.
Thanks! It looks silver on page 18-19 to me. I'm not seeing the green. It must be rather subtle green.
