I have one and LOVE it. I shot it on our Huglu pheasant hunt last year and it was deadly.
 
Bought my first Ithaca 37, 20 ga in 1967. Now have an example of all gauges.
The 28, made in Ohio, seems to be of similar quality of all the others, with very nice wood as well. The 28 operates smoothly and functions flawlessly.

wish they would have made a 410
