I shot a couple of rounds of skeet yesterday and I had at least six FTF from the Benelli click. I was shooting reloaded Fiocchi once fired hulls and I determined that quite a few were a little snug going into the chamber even though there was a good radius on the top of each hull. This caused the bolt to slow down enough that it caused the click. I could help the bolt to close when I pushed the release button and no issue. Also no issue with Win HS reloads, just the Foicchi. I’ll shoot the rest of them in my O/U gun.

I am pushing the bolt handle forward while I release it with the button. With that little bit of help, it goes fully into battery every time.

I had that problem with the Benelli . On a new gun, The recoil spring was so weak I had to hold the muzzle towards the ground when closing it to get help from gravity. I also noticed I started to get severe pinging from the bolt hitting the back of the receiver.

Try a new recoil spring.

I had lots of Benelli click problems with my 28 ga legacy. Benelli sent me a new recoil spring. That helped but the click still occurred some. I sold it and bought a Remington 1100 28 ga. It’s been flawless.
My 20ga and 12 ga Benelli legacy have been reliable guns.
