the only choke I got with it is a angle port labeled .740 (bore ?) and .015 it has a angle port closer a different bolt handle a different trigger assy pin it is ported I will have to compare the pistons it also has a adjustable gracoil installed
Those custom chokes shoot true as marked. They were tuned to the custom Angleport barrel work. No need for any measuring, adding or subracting. No Beretta ever came from the factory with a .740 bore. European proof houses won't test any thing like that. .735 is the limit. You have a true custom lt mod choke for that custom barrel. Shoot it on paper.

is angleport still in business I have filled out their contact form on the internet and tried to call (phone went to a fax line). If they are still in business does anyone know how to contact them

We know from the pics and the markings on the tube that is indexed to a 0.740 bore.

The OP thinks it is an Angleport gun. Some may assume the installed barrel has a 0.740 bore. I seem to be missing the part where we know the barrel is a .740 bore.

The only way to know the barrel is .740 is to mike it, or at least determine that it is somehow marked to indicate it has been customized. Otherwise, the barrel could possibly be a standard Optima barrel.

one of the reasons I want to contact angleport is to see if they have records of this gun being one that they modified

Look on the barrel , it should be stamped 18.6 which is .732 inches at the time it was proofed.

Angleport, Rhino and others were popular when the .723 18.4mm al390 ruled the sporting world, and in true American fashion we needed to make a proven design “better”. So everyone wanted to trick out their barrels before they even learned to shoot properly.

Unfortunately backboring removed all the chrome, which made it more prone to rust. It also made the barrel noticeably lighter.

Beretta followed the popularity of browning which had been making overbored factory barrels for several years, and came out with overbored chrome lined .732 18.6 optima barrels.

That pretty much ended the backbore business for a number of companies.
Even when beretta came out with .732 overbored barrels, some still thought .740 or bigger must be the magic wand.

So back to the orginal point, if that is truly an Angleport tricked out .740 barrel, you need to use only those chokes and know the barrel has had the chrome removed and is thinner/lighter than factory. If someone bought .740 aftermarket chokes for a .732 barrel, then toss those and buy the right size. If you are unsure, get the barrel miked.

So was the chrome lining removed and it's susceptible to rusting ?
A inquisitive mind wants to know ! My .732 bore Beretta barrel works great !
its a 742 bore so the chrome is gone I dont notice any rust. a lot of shotguns did not have chrome lined barres and did nothave any rust issues. It will crush skeet targets

Thanks always thought it could be a problem ! the reason I asked was Angle Port
did a Choke reaming job for me , took a .036 ouy to match a O/u's .020 . I asked to
have both barrels trued to .020 but , they informed me , they would have to send
it out , with me being so precise ! Took longer than I expected but the job was done
exact to my specifications , the cost was ok , just a little more than Briley's !
