Hi!

New here.

I bought a used 870 12 gauge where the previous owner had mounted the stock without the stock bearing plate. Resulting in a broken stock after a few shots as seen in the picture below.

The woodworking is not really an issue but I need a stock bearing plate. I have access to a decent workshop and could make that part myself unless there is something special with it.

Does any one have the messurements for it?

Thanks in advance!

/Martin

Slanted piece. Started with a very hard plastic, depth of bearing plate, used the bearing plate for pattern, cut with dremel, then ground it across the face in an angle. The right side is ground to very thin, the left side is thick. Also I used some kind of grinder (probably dremel) to widen the stock bolt hole to the left. Now the stock at the front has a left side space, the stock is cast to the right, and the bolt is straight out from the receiver and offset to the left at the bolt hole. There is a small scrape on the right-side pix, this is not cracking but from a small bump on the stock. I read this would crack the stock, and there is even a pix in this post (I think) with a cracked stock. I've had this about 2 yr with no issues. Pix attached.

Also I have a Beretta A400. I used the max adjustment plate for cast off, and the REM and the Beretta are pretty close to the same cast.
