Does anyone have any experience with Winchester Super Target Powder (WST)? Having problem with powder left over in shell and in barrel - seems pretty dirty. I'm getting good crimp and fires well, but dirty after the fact. Unfortunately, doesn't take a picture well down barrel. Mec650...

Hi all, Got my eye on this Winchester 5000 Waterfowl multichoke O/U. It has 3-inch chambers but no magnum proof, can it shoot magnums being 3 inches? Has anyone had any experience with them? Anything to look out for? Is £300 too much for a gun of that age? Any info is greatly appreciated!

I just received this shotgun as a gift from my father of 86 years old. My guess is he purchased this or received it back in the 80s. He could not remember where he got it from. I have searched high and low on the gun for a model number, but can only find a serial number. See the pictures...

I have an old Merkel 12ga SxS I picked up at a gun show years ago. I have been trying to do some research, but have been unable to narrow down what exact model it is. From the number/date code on the water table (3/26) I know that it was made in March of 1926. While it is hard to find much info...
  7. Shotgun ID & Value
Hello, I recently came across and purchased this Springfield Arms / Savage 311 (I believe). It's missing a screw that goes at the top of the tang, underneath the snap lever and in front of the safety. In any schematics out there, I'm not able to find this screw and a possible replacement (or...
  8. Shotgun ID & Value
Ive came across this shotgun and have been trying to research this gun and the closest I seem to get is maybe a 1908 version or around that time frame. It has no other marking because its in pretty bad shape. The only marking is a set of numbers which I think is 506127. I tried taking a picture...
  9. Shotshell Reloading
Hopefully this question which I am asking, simply to learn more about this issue, has not yet been answered here. If it has I do apologize. Different shotshell wads has different height on their compressible section. Examples may be Federal 12S0, 12S3 and 12S4 If one, just as an experiment in...
