:?: What are your thoughts on 2 barrel/gauge sets?

Is it better to have 2 guns rather than 2 barrels. My example would be 28ga/.410. The weight for each configuration given is the same - 5 pounds.

Would most manufacturers use the same frame for this gage/caliber or are you giving up weight difference for the 2 barrel set? :D

For a 28/.410 combination, I would go with a 2-barrel set. Most 28's are light enough, and it is possible for a gun to get too light. If you had a .410 built on a true .410 "baby frame" it might be so light it would be hard to swing smoothly.

My answer would be different if you were talking about a 12 ga and a ny of the small bores.
