we see the new Knoxx stuff. I'm getting antsy. My wife is getting worried that I'll want something I "don't need." I told her that I needed it, she just didn't think so. That went over like a lead balloon.

Where do I keep track of when they come out with the new stuff? Knoxx site?

Gee, that really doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it. I could see making someone wait for a check for the first gun purchase. But if you already have a safe full, what difference does the 10 days do? Please explain!!!

I can't!..for the very reason you already gave.

maybe they don't know that you haven't sold off your guns and need another to settle a domestic dispute..I dunno..I think it makes the anti's feel better.

if you buy new gun every two weeks in this state, your lifespan will be extended, in effect, because time seems to pass a bit slower than normal.

also note that we can only buy one handgun a month.

Yet another reason I love Oklahoma. We fill out the form, they call it in to whoever, we get our gun. Usually takes about an hour if they are busy.

an hour? it's never taken the dealer more then a minute on the phone... my name, SSN, and whatever other info they need, they answer yes, and i walk out with my new gun. the whole process takes less then 20 minutes.

i gotta weigh in on this one...

sooner... try this...

"but honey, the new knoxx stock will allow me to better protect the homestead, allowing me greater advantage over my adversary with the use of recoil reduction and adjustable stock length... and besides, its just plain cool. how about if i sell my old stock on e-Bay and take you out to dinner with the proceeds?"

and with a  of her eyes, when i tried this on my wife, she departed the workshop shaking her head but with a smile on her face... sometimes i just try to convince her it's a guy thing...

as far as knoxx goes... i asked cacrusin to e-mail us from the floor of SHOT, the super bowl of firearms and accessories as soon as their presentation was over... he's a man of his word... you just have to remember, some companies unveil a product and then its 6-8 months before the items reaches the consumer.

CHECK THIS OUT

http://www.shotshow.org/App/homepage.cf ... ame=100300

some of us waited a long time for our SpecOps... but it was worth it...

as far as gun purchases goes...

here in vermont i can walk in the gun shop, and after filling out the "yellow" form, walk out with anything i could afford... i've heard the waiting period described as a "cool down" period ie. i'm gonna buy a gun and.... and...

sadly, in some states you have to wait five days for a handgun but if your pissed off at your co-workers, you can walk out of the gun shop with a shotgun as soon as the transaction is complete

and we all know that a .357 you have to wait for is nowhere as dangerous as an 870 you can wear home... yeah, right

as far as guns go, i thank my stars i moved from taxachusettes when i did...

I've used the line of, Isn't that a new outfit you have on?
And if you were PO'ed at someone, why would you go to the trouble of buying new. Buy some clunker out of the bargain column in the paper and stop at the hardware for a new hacksaw blade, on the way home.

i read this about ten minutes ago...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060131/ap_ ... e_shooting

when you think of the final outcome of the shooter, i'm sure suicide was on the mind even before the first shot... the gun shop or even Walmart beats buying a clunker from the newspaperunless the shooter is on the "can't buy" list somewhere

in states where long gun "walk-aways" are able without the waiting period, you can buy a box of 100 12 ga for $15 and put the 870 on the credit card... this shooter won't be around to pay the c.c. bill... it gives the anti's more mileage on many levels... my condolences to the families of the injured and killed...

about SHOT... if you offered me 50 yardline tix to the Super Bowl with an autograph session OR an ALL ACCESS laminate to SHOT, guess which one i would take...

yeah, 870..I've already been to detroit twice and both times were "memorable".

My dad lives in LV..no hotel needed. I'd pick the SHOT show, but i'd probably sell the superbowl tickets for cash if I had them.

Never been to the Super Bowl or SHOT. Like me, my wife is an avid football fan, so if I had a choice I would have to take the SB tickets. I may be doing the "I wonder what I'm missing" thing the entire time, but my wife would be happier.

and sooner... you are a good man for the choice of making your lady a happy camper...

and don't worry... after mike100 shows me the sights (i've been to vegas a couple of times) we'll be glad to share the experience...

Broadcasting live from the floor of the SHOT Show....

ps... mike, i ventured to the motor city once... just once... and "memorable" is an understatement...

SHOT, from what i am told, is the largest, coolest gun shop on the planet for its duration with demos, toys, give-a-ways, did i mention give-a-ways ? AND we could crash the Knoxx booth and make CaCrusin give us free bling...

I went to the Shot Show once, I hated it. I knew I didn't have enough money to pay off the national debt, and I wanted atleast 1 of everything. That was the hard part. Telling myself NO, you can't afford it!!!! It was a situation where we hadn't planned on the Shot Show, just managed a short vacation. And when I got there I realized it was on and had a copy of my FFL in my wallet. But it was really a lot of fun, rubbing elbows with the Corp reps and the big dealers.

I'm sure I would be asked to leave. "Sir, I'm sorry, but we have to escort you from the premises. Your drooling on everything is beginning to disturb some of the vendors."
