I have a 28 ga 11-48 and shoot 7/8 oz loads in it. I was looking tonight while I had it stripped and it looks like the bolt is hitting the rear of the receiver. Is there a heavier return spring or should I look to the recoil spring on the magazine tube? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Action springs and recoil springs are not designed to last the life of the firearm. Replacing both and the friction piece would be a good idea. If the bolt is battering the rear of the receiver, the recoil spring has taken a "set" and no longer dampens the barrel and bolt travel properly. Finding the parts may be tough; especially the friction piece.
