I know the standard anser to do this is take it to a gunsmith, but how hard would it be? Does anybody know how to remove it? How much heat, etc? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.

I just bought an 1100, and want to replace the front bead with a high vis one.

thanks

Remington presses their beads in . Your right about taking it to a Smith .

Why remove the front bead? Just put the Hi Viz on the rib immediately to the rear of the present bead. You will not see the bead with the Hi Viz in place. If you ever decide you don't want the Hi Viz any more, just take it off and your original bead is still there ready for use. 8)
