Can anyone give me an actual real world weight. Remington lists at 8 lb.

Mine with adjustable comb was almost right at 8.5. By the time I put a CG adjustable butt plate on it and extended the LOP to where I could actually shoot it (about 1-1/8" more than stock), it was a little over 9. Very front heavy before the adj. plate. Balanced much better after. I also had to put posts for the comb in that were 1" longer than stock to get the comb up to where I could shoot it. That's one LOW, SHORT stock. I loved that gun.

Actually, I'm only 5'8". I don't have an overly long neck (although I have a big head...) and my arms are not that long either. The LOP is more of a function of how I mount the gun than anything else.
