Yesterday, we had a new-comer/guest at the range shooting five stand with a Remington 1100 he borrowed from a buddy. He was hitting birds but the gun would not eject or cycle. After he finished shooting 25 singles I pulled the forearm and barrel off. Yep, there was no O-ring to be found and the mag tube and piston seal was caked in dried crud. Why is it so difficult to do just the most basic maintenance? Five minutes, an oily rag and a $5 part would have this thing running like a top. Unfortunately nobody at the range had a 1100 seal in their bag.
