What year did Remington introduce the 1100 with Rem-chokes? Was there a transition period where both fixed choke and Rem-choke were available?

As mentioned, RemChokes became available in 1986. However, Remington introduced the Model 11-87 the following year, which superceded many former 1100 variants. It's therefore somewhat rare to find a "series one" 1100 with factory RemChokes.

Over the past 9 years, Remington has re-introduced most variants of the 1100, all of which are equipped with RemChokes.
