Is this safe? Just making sure there are no ill effects in putting 2 3/4" shells in an old 12ga pump I have with a fixed 3" barrel(Springfield Model 67).

Other than the groups opening up a bit, no hazards involved. Never actually seen a shotgun with a 3 inch barrel before, so I take it your talking chamber....
