looking to buy some 20ga once fired hulls
Have a brand preference? What do expect to pay? How many do you need?looking to buy some 20ga once fired hulls
There's no definition on the planet that could classify an empty once-fired hull as ammunition.Curious what shipper you guys use for hulls. I tried to ship a couple hundred 28ga to a guy on SGW for the cost of shipping only, and USPS refused to ship them after asking me what they were - I said "empty shotgun shells". They said "so, ammunition?". I said " no, they are fired, empty shotgun shells" - they said " shotgun shells - so it's ammo - nope, we can't ship ammo". We went back and forth and they finally said nope, we're not shipping it.
Went down to FedEx and shipped it there, they didn't ask - was going to tell them I had plastic tubing, if they asked.
It ended up being almost $20, way more than I thought.
Sorry for being dumb here, but - do I need to use their box, or can/should I use my own box, then ask for this "Regional Rate" when I go into the store? Is it a fixed rate based on the box size, or based on the weight?UPS Regional Rate Boxes always ship cheaper than a similar sized box with UPS or FedEx.
The Regional Rate Boxes are available at your local Post Office branch office. They are not something you create yourself. I usually grab a half dozen so I have them on hand when needed.Sorry for being dumb here, but - do I need to use their box, or can/should I use my own box, then ask for this "Regional Rate" when I go into the store? I've got a couple hundred once-fired Win AA 28 ga hulls and boxes I'd like to ship to someone on SGW who can use them, but don't want to screw up the process and make it cost more for the recipient.
Thanks
